The basics

What is local SEO?

A plain explanation, and how Google says it chooses which local businesses to show.

Local SEO is the work of making your business appear when people near you search for what you offer, on Google Maps, in the local results box and in the normal results below it.

Someone who types “pharmacy near me” or “car service in Sharjah” is usually ready to call, message or visit. Google answers those searches with a map and a short list of businesses, and it explains publicly how it picks them. Local results are based mainly on three things:

Relevance

How well your profile matches what the person searched for. Complete, accurate details and the right categories help Google understand your business.

Distance

How far your business is from the searcher, or from the place they named. You cannot change this, but you can make sure your location and service areas are correct.

Prominence

How well known your business is. Google says this draws on reviews, links, and how your website ranks in normal results, which is why local SEO and your on-page SEO work together.

Local SEO done within Google’s rules

What we do

  • Use your real business name, exactly as it appears on your signboard and documents
  • Show an address only where customers can actually visit you
  • Set service areas for businesses that travel to the customer
  • Ask real customers for honest reviews and reply to all of them
  • Keep hours, phone number and services accurate and up to date

What we will not do

  • Add extra keywords or city names to the business name
  • List virtual offices or PO boxes as business locations
  • Create duplicate or fake profiles to cover more areas
  • Buy, swap or write fake reviews
  • Promise a guaranteed number one position on Google Maps

What is local SEO?

Local SEO is the work of making a business show up when people nearby search for what it sells, in Google Maps, in the local results box and in the normal results under it. It covers your Google Business Profile, your website's location pages, reviews, and how consistently your name, address and phone number appear across the web.

How does Google decide which local businesses to show?

Google says local results are based mainly on three things: relevance, distance and prominence. Relevance is how well your profile matches the search, distance is how far you are from the searcher or the place they named, and prominence is how well known your business is, which includes reviews, links and your website's position in normal results.

Can you guarantee the number one spot on Google Maps?

No, and nobody honestly can. Google states that there is no way to request or pay for a better local ranking. What we can do is improve the things Google says it looks at, and report the results to you openly each month.

How long does local SEO take to work?

It depends on your starting point, your category and how strong the competition is in your city. Profile fixes can show an effect within weeks, while building reviews, local pages and prominence is steady work over several months. After the free audit we tell you what is realistic for your business before you commit to anything.

Do you manage Google Business Profiles in Arabic and English?

Yes. People in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar search in both languages, so we set up your profile description, services, posts and review replies to work for Arabic and English searchers, and match them to the Arabic and English pages on your website.

My business has no shop or office that customers visit. Can local SEO still work?

Yes. Google allows service-area businesses, such as cleaning, maintenance or delivery companies that travel to the customer. You hide your address and set the areas you serve instead. We set this up the way Google's guidelines require so the profile is not put at risk.

Can I use a virtual office or add keywords to my business name to rank higher?

We do not recommend it and we will not do it. Google's guidelines ask for your real-world business name and do not accept virtual offices or PO boxes as a business location. Profiles that break these rules can be suspended, which removes you from Maps completely.

We have several branches. Do you handle multi-location local SEO?

Yes. Each branch gets its own correctly set up profile and its own location page on your website, with consistent name, address and phone details across all of them. This works for branches in one city or across Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar.

Do you write or buy reviews for us?

No. Fake or paid reviews are against Google's policies and can get reviews removed or a profile restricted. We help you ask real customers in the right way, make leaving a review easy, and reply to every review in English or Arabic.

How much does local SEO cost?

The cost depends on how many locations you have, how many languages you need and how competitive your category is. We start with a free audit, then send a written scope and price so you know exactly what is included before you decide.
